A. Lange & Söhne launches the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC in Honeygold

LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD

The LANGE 1 DAYMATIC in Honeygold is introduced as a limited edition of 250 pieces, featuring a case crafted from A. Lange & Söhne’s proprietary gold alloy.

A. Lange & Söhne presents the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC Honeygold as a new limited edition of 250 watches. The model combines the familiar LANGE 1 design with automatic winding and a case made from the brand’s exclusive Honeygold alloy.

The LANGE 1 DAYMATIC Honeygold follows the same asymmetric dial layout as the classic LANGE 1. The display is mirrored, placing the hour and minute indication on the right, while the small seconds and outsized date are positioned on the left.

The case is crafted from 750 Honeygold, developed in-house by A. Lange & Söhne. The material features a warmer tone than traditional gold and increased hardness, resulting in a more durable surface.

The dial is made from brown-toned 925 silver with a matte finish. The combination of dial and case creates a restrained appearance, with emphasis on proportions and legibility rather than visual contrast.

The signature outsized date remains a central element and is seamlessly integrated into the dial. The date display operates via two separate discs and remains a defining feature of the LANGE 1 collection.

LANGE 1 DAYMATIC and the automatic calibre L021.1

The LANGE 1 DAYMATIC is powered by the in-house automatic calibre L021.1. The movement features a central rotor spanning the full diameter of the movement to ensure efficient winding during wear.

The central rotor segment is made from 21-carat gold, while the outer mass is crafted from platinum. This construction provides both efficient energy transfer and visual balance through the caseback.

The power reserve is rated at approximately 50 hours when fully wound. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback and displays traditional Glashütte finishing, including blued screws and a hand-engraved balance cock.

The automatic DAYMATIC version differs technically from the manually wound LANGE 1, while maintaining the same design language and proportional structure.

Limited production and collector focus

The LANGE 1 DAYMATIC Honeygold is produced in a run of 250 watches as part of a limited edition. Each piece is individually numbered and primarily aimed at collectors with an interest in materials and mechanics.

Honeygold is reserved for special releases at A. Lange & Söhne and is rarely used in serial production. The combination of material, automatic movement and mirrored dial gives the model a distinct position within the LANGE 1 family.

Pricing is listed as “price upon request” and typically sits at the upper end of modern haute horlogerie. The model is available through selected retailers and directly from A. Lange & Söhne.

Interest in DAYMATIC models continues to grow among collectors seeking automatic winding without compromising the LANGE 1 design. The Honeygold version adds an additional layer of exclusivity to that development.
