Citizen launches the Attesa Platinum Shine Collection
Citizen marks 55 years of titanium innovation with three timepieces where the poetry of nature meets technical precision. The Platinum Shine Collection is forged from heat, light, and patience.
In 1970, Citizen created the world’s first titanium watch – and five decades later, the brand once again transforms the material into something new.
The Platinum Shine Collection consists of three limited-edition models crafted from recrystallized titanium – a material formed through intense heat and rapid cooling. This controlled process alters the internal structure of the metal, creating crystal patterns that can never be duplicated. Each watch is a unique microscopic landscape of light, resembling frost on glass.
Working with recrystallized titanium demands exceptional craftsmanship. As the metal expands under extreme heat, only precise timing and cooling can produce its characteristic texture without compromising strength. Citizen has turned this process into a form of artistry.
Moonlight, strength and serenity
The design of the collection is inspired by the gentle glow of moonlight. The case and bracelet are made of Super Titanium™ treated with Duratect Platinum, giving a silvery sheen harder than platinum itself.
The dial features a metallic ink print that reflects light like a crystallized surface. Silver-colored hands and indices stand out clearly, while the inner ring in matching tone evokes the image of a full moon.
The flagship model CC4076-65A is powered by the F950 Satellite Wave GPS movement, capable of receiving time signals from satellites in as little as three seconds – the fastest in the world. Both AT8284-61A and CB0284-66A are equipped with Eco-Drive Radio Controlled and Direct Flight, allowing easy adjustment of time and date across 26 time zones with just a twist of the crown. All three watches are light-powered, eliminating the need for battery replacement.
A glimmer of light in titanium
The Platinum Shine Collection will be released in November 2025, marking 55 years of titanium innovation.
- AT8284-61A: 2,500 pieces worldwide

- CB0284-66A: 1,400 pieces worldwide

The prices are expected to range between DKK 8,500 and 17,000, depending on the model. But the true value lies not only in the technology – it lies in the feeling of wearing a piece of light on your wrist.
The Citizen Attesa Platinum Shine Collection serves as a reminder that even in a world dominated by data and satellites, there is still room for poetry.
