Gucci revives the Play Watch with colorful ceramic bezels
Gucci brings back an icon from the 1980s in a modern edition with interchangeable ceramic bezels and a gold-toned 28 mm case.
The Gucci Play Watch returns in a new edition where Italian fashion meets Swiss watchmaking. The relaunched 28 mm Gucci Play Watch combines classic design with a modern twist – adding color and creativity through seven interchangeable ceramic bezels.

Part of Gucci’s new Play collection, the model draws inspiration from the brand’s vintage jewelry watches. With its circular silhouette and slender gold-toned bangle, it reflects the minimalist spirit of the 1980s, now reinterpreted with refined materials and updated details. The price is around €1,250.
The white dial features the Gucci logo and the iconic interlocking G symbol. Together with sapphire glass and a Swiss quartz movement, the watch balances fashion aesthetics with everyday functionality.
Interchangeable bezels bring new personality
What makes the Gucci Play Watch stand out is its versatility. Each model includes seven ceramic bezels in different colors – black, white, green, pink, blue, red, and more. They can be changed easily, allowing the watch to adapt to any outfit or occasion.
The yellow gold-toned steel bangle doubles as both bracelet and case, turning the Play Watch into a hybrid between jewelry and timepiece. With 5 ATM water resistance and Swiss-made precision, it’s more than just a statement piece.
Gucci presents the watch in a dark green round case with a red stripe – a nod to the brand’s signature colors. Inside, the watch and its bezels are arranged as a collectible display.

A modern tribute to Gucci’s design heritage
The Gucci Play Watch reflects a growing trend where fashion houses rediscover their archives. Like Cartier and Hermès, Gucci merges vintage charm with modern craftsmanship.
The collection shows how fashion and horology continue to blend. For Gucci, time is not just about function – it’s about expression. And the Play Watch offers a new way to wear both history and style on the wrist.
