Hamilton Launches Khaki Field Power Reserve in Steel

Khaki Field

Hamilton expands the Khaki Field family with a 40mm steel model, featuring a power reserve indicator on the dial and a new hand-wound movement with 80 hours of autonomy.

The Khaki Field line is Hamilton’s most popular collection, long celebrated for its military-inspired design and rugged appeal. With the new Khaki Field Mechanical Power Reserve, the brand adds a practical new complication while staying true to its roots.

A new size for the collection

Previously available in 38mm and 42mm, the Khaki Field Mechanical now arrives in a balanced 40mm sandblasted stainless steel case. Measuring 47.5mm lug-to-lug and 11.95mm in thickness, it wears comfortably thanks to its rounded lugs. The oversized crown allows for easy manual winding.

New H-23 caliber with fuel gauge display

Inside beats Hamilton’s new hand-wound H-23 caliber, developed by ETA. It delivers an 80-hour power reserve, displayed via a practical indicator at 9 o’clock. Styled like a fuel gauge with “F” (full) and “E” (empty), it automatically resynchronizes to reflect the actual tension of the mainspring.

Two dial options

The watch comes with either a matte black or matte white dial, both featuring the characteristic Khaki Field 24-hour numerals. The black dial has white details, while the white version features black printing. Both are fitted with Old Radium Super-LumiNova on hands and indices for nighttime readability.

Strap and bracelet choices

Buyers can choose between a green NATO strap with leather accents or a three-link stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp. Both are equipped with quick-release spring bars for easy changes.

Pricing and availability

The Khaki Field Mechanical Power Reserve is priced at €915 on NATO strap and €995 on stainless steel bracelet. While slightly more expensive than other Khaki Field models, it offers the added value of a power reserve complication and extended autonomy.

Hamilton’s new 40mm release demonstrates how classic field watch design can be combined with modern functionality, resulting in a versatile timepiece for collectors and everyday wearers alike.
