MB&F LM101 Evo celebrates 20 years with new design
With the Legacy Machine 101 Evo, MB&F marks its 20th anniversary with a titanium case, improved durability, and new colors that carry the iconic design into the future.
MB&F turns 20 in 2025 and celebrates with a refreshed version of one of its most recognizable watches. The Legacy Machine 101 Evo retains the signature suspended balance wheel but adds practical upgrades that make it more suitable for everyday wear.
From avant-garde to everyday functionality
The Legacy Machine line debuted in 2011 and has since embodied MB&F’s mix of futuristic aesthetics and traditional watchmaking. The first LM101 launched in 2020 as a compact 40mm model. With the Evo edition, the watch receives updates that strengthen durability without losing its character.
The titanium case measures 40mm across, 49mm lug-to-lug, and 16.5mm thick. The Evo adds 80 meters of water resistance, a screw-down crown, and a FlexRing shock absorber to protect the movement. It comes on an integrated rubber strap with a folding clasp, enhancing its sporty presence.

Two colorways with CVD-treated plates
The LM101 Evo is offered in two versions with CVD-treated (Chemical Vapor Deposition) plates in salmon or green. Both feature black sub-dials with Super-LumiNova-filled hands. One sub-dial displays hours and minutes, the other the power reserve.
Straps are color-matched: the salmon version is paired with a gray rubber strap, while the green model comes with a white strap.
Voutilainen finishing on the movement
The “F” in MB&F stands for “Friends,” and for the LM101 Evo, Kari Voutilainen provided the movement’s finishing. The hand-wound caliber is developed in-house and consists of 233 components, 23 jewels, a frequency of 18,000 vph, and a 60-hour power reserve.
Decorations include NAC-treated black bridges with Geneva stripes, anglage, and a polished balance bridge. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement highlights MB&F’s high finishing standards.
Pricing and availability
The LM101 Evo is not a limited edition, but production numbers remain small. The price is CHF 62,000 (excluding taxes), around €63,000 or DKK 480,000.
With the Legacy Machine 101 Evo, MB&F demonstrates that haute horlogerie can combine creativity with durability. It is a timepiece that both celebrates 20 years of innovation and looks toward the future.
