Mido launches new Multfort TV Big Date
Mido Multfort TV Big Date S01E02 celebrates the golden age of television through a colorful design, modern movement, and interchangeable straps.
The Mido Multfort TV Big Date S01E02 marks the next chapter in the brand’s series of special editions. The new model combines a design inspired by 1980s televisions with a modern Swiss automatic movement and a vivid color palette.
The watch features a distinctive square “TV-shaped” case measuring 39.2 x 40 mm in satin-brushed grey PVD, framing a graphic dial with color bars taken directly from classic TV test screens. The dial gives the piece a clear retro look while standing out among modern sports watches.
The price is around €920, and the model comes as a special edition with three interchangeable straps. In addition to the stainless steel bracelet, two rubber straps in blue and yellow are included, allowing for quick style changes.
The large date window at 12 o’clock, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and 10-bar water resistance make the watch practical for everyday wear while maintaining its distinctive identity.

Mido Multfort TV Big Date S01E02: inspired by 1980s television
The design pays tribute to the golden age of television, when color broadcasts became part of everyday life. Mido describes the dial as “pixel noise” – a pattern recreating the iconic test colors that many will recognize from vintage TVs.
Behind the graphic surface beats the automatic Caliber 80 movement, offering a power reserve of up to 80 hours. Its Nivachron balance spring provides resistance to magnetism and shocks, while the transparent caseback reveals decorations with Côtes de Genève and an engraved Mido logo.

A new generation of retro-inspired sports watches
The Multfort TV Big Date S01E02 arrives in a specially designed box emphasizing the model’s exclusivity. The combination of color, shape, and function shows how Mido continues the legacy of the first edition in the series, now with more striking details.
Since 1918, Mido has been known for combining architectural design with Swiss precision. The series illustrates how the brand continues to draw from its heritage while reinventing the classic sports watch tradition with playful references to pop culture.
