Mount Everest inspires CIGA Design’s Everest Summit

CIGA Designs Everest Summit

CIGA Design Everest Summit combines distinctive design with engineering and history. The watch features a dial carved from genuine Mount Everest stone and a central tourbillon.

The CIGA Design Everest Summit is one of the most remarkable watches in the brand’s history. Its dial is made from actual rock taken from Mount Everest, celebrating the human drive to overcome limits. Inspiration stems from Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the first climbers to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain in 1953.

Measuring 44 mm, the Grade 5 titanium case makes the watch both lightweight and durable. The dial displays a detailed relief pattern depicting the Everest massif, and at 12 o’clock the height 8,848.86 metres is engraved as a symbol of the peak.

At the centre beats CIGA Design’s in-house CD-05 tourbillon movement — the mechanical heart of the watch — offering a 40-hour power reserve.

Craftsmanship and symbolism in one creation

The Everest Summit features hands shaped like ice axes, directly referencing the tools used by Hillary and Norgay during their ascent. Swiss Super-LumiNova ensures optimal legibility in low-light conditions.

A black rubber strap adds a modern look and comfortable fit, while the combination of titanium, sapphire crystal and Everest stone turns the model into both a technical and symbolic statement.

Price and availability

Founded in 2016, CIGA Design has earned several international design awards for its experimental approach to watchmaking. The Everest Summit continues that legacy – a watch for collectors who want to own a genuine piece of the world’s highest mountain.
