Paramount Vino: A New Mechanical Watch from Ferro & Company
Paramount Vino combines historical Art Deco elements with modern Swiss Made standards, including sapphire crystal, stainless steel and a hand-wound Sellita movement.
Ferro & Company introduces the new Paramount Vino, presented as a Swiss Made watch with clear inspiration from the Art Deco era. Paramount Vino marks the brand’s tenth anniversary and draws on the period’s focus on clean forms, strong colours and a functional design language. The aim is to create a dress watch with historical references built from modern materials.
Paramount Vino features a polished 316L stainless-steel case measuring 38 millimetres in diameter. The height is 8.35 millimetres, giving it a slim profile suitable for both work and formal occasions. The dial has a dual-textured surface with applied hour markers that provide a clear visual layout.
The strap is crafted from Italian leather and manufactured in Germany. The combination of materials and proportions places Paramount Vino among modern dress watches inspired by timeless classics.
Sellita movement and materials focused on durability
Paramount Vino is powered by the Sellita SW210, a hand-wound movement known for its low profile and stable construction. The movement is often used in compact Swiss Made dress watches where dimensions play a central role. According to the brand, the goal is to preserve a traditional mechanical expression where the movement is an essential part of the design.
The watch features a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Sapphire is chosen for its scratch resistance and long-term durability. The case is hand-polished, following design principles common in dress watches from the 1930s. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres, suitable for everyday use.
Paramount Vino weighs 90 grams including the strap. According to the brand’s materials, the intention is to offer a lightweight Swiss Made watch with a clear dial and simple functionality.
Paramount Vino and the trend toward historically inspired Swiss Made watches
Ferro & Company describes the model as “inspired by the refined aesthetics of the past yet crafted for the modern era”, the brand states in its materials. The Art Deco period is associated with geometric lines and contrasting colours, and Paramount Vino follows many of the period’s design principles.
Interest in classic Swiss Made dress watches has increased in recent years. Many manufacturers are developing collections inspired by the 1920s and 1930s, and Paramount Vino fits naturally into that trend. This makes it relevant for collectors who follow the development of compact mechanical watches.
Paramount Vino forms part of a broader movement where watchmakers reinterpret traditional proportions and materials. The model is therefore expected to attract attention among enthusiasts seeking Swiss Made watches with a clear historical reference.
