Prospex SRPM04K: Seiko’s New “Kame” Edition Honours Sea Turtles
The Seiko Prospex Sea Australasian Limited Edition SRPM04K “Kame” pays tribute to the iconic Turtle case. The watch is limited to 1,000 pieces and comes with an additional silicone strap.
Seiko expands its Prospex line with the SRPM04K diver’s watch. The colours of the new model are inspired by Fitzroy Island, a small island on the Great Barrier Reef where the water shifts between turquoise, deep blue and green. Seiko has used this unique palette as the basis for a special edition that is already attracting strong interest among collectors.
The dial features a gradient inspired by the way light refracts across shallow coral areas. From soft turquoise to deeper blues, the surface reflects the character of the island’s waters. The gold-toned bezel is designed to echo the warm glow of sunlight on a sea turtle’s shell, a key element of the watch’s story.

Prospex SRPM04K Builds on Seiko’s Diving Heritage
Inside the watch sits Seiko’s automatic 4R36 calibre with a power reserve of around 41 hours. The 45 mm case follows the well-known Turtle shape, long considered one of the most recognisable silhouettes in the Prospex line. With 200 metres of water resistance, the SRPM04K is fully equipped for real diving use.
The model is delivered on a stainless-steel bracelet and includes an additional silicone strap suited for diving and active wear. The strap pairing makes it versatile both for collectors and for those who want a practical daily tool watch.
Supporting Sea Turtles and Marine Conservation
Seiko uses the launch to reinforce its ongoing commitment to ocean protection. SRPM04K is part of the Save the Ocean initiative, and the partnership with the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre continues with this model. Seiko supports the rehabilitation of injured sea turtles that are later released back into the wild.
For this edition, Seiko has adopted a turtle named Kame, whose recovery progress is shared on Seiko Australia’s platforms. A portion of the proceeds from each sale goes directly to the centre’s work.

Collector’s Box and Limited Production
SRPM04K is limited to 1,000 individually numbered pieces. Each watch is presented in a dedicated turquoise-toned collector’s box inspired by Fitzroy Island. Inside, both the Prospex logo and the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre designation emphasise the partnership.
Seiko expects high demand, as previous Australasian limited editions have sold out quickly. The model is priced at 995 dollars.
SRPM04K shows how Seiko blends nature-inspired colours, dive watch heritage and philanthropy in a model designed for both enthusiasts and collectors. With its vibrant dial, classic Turtle case and strong conservation profile, the piece carries a story that reaches beyond mechanics.
