Serica relaunches Ref. 6190 with a new Tuxedo dial

Serica’s 6190 TXD

Serica Ref. 6190 TXD returns in a two tone design and will be produced in only 150 pieces in 2025.

Serica Ref. 6190 TXD attracts attention because Serica once again works with a two tone dial layout based on enamel and brushed hands. Serica Ref. 6190 TXD builds on a classic format that has now been updated for 2025. The model is released in a limited series aimed at collectors who follow Serica’s development.

Serica uses a two tone enamel dial in black and light tones. The expression is inspired by earlier Tuxedo designs, where the contrast between the two colours creates a clear separation between the dial’s zones. The hands are updated with a brushed finish that provides a more technical character.

The watch is based on the Ref. 6190 layout, recognised for its clean and symmetrical design. Serica highlights that the update was developed to refine the proportions and preserve the identity of earlier editions. The TXD version follows the same structure but adds changes in the colour accents.

The dial has clear markers that define the different zones. The two tone construction ensures that indexes and hands stand out against the background. This creates a balanced layout where legibility is prioritised without altering the overall architecture.

The limitation to 150 pieces in 2025 makes the TXD version appealing to collectors. Serica often produces models in small batches, and the Ref. 6190 TXD continues this approach. The model is therefore expected to sell out quickly.

Ref. 6190 TXD and the interest in small production runs

Serica generally works with instrument inspired watches that often draw details from military and functional designs. The TXD version presents a more formal direction, where the contrast between black and light tones gives the dial a clear identity.

Interest in small scale production continues to grow in the market. Several independent brands now work with lower production numbers to offer models with a stronger sense of uniqueness. Serica is positioned in this segment and attracts collectors who look for watches with limited availability and a distinct visual profile.
