Straum Jan Mayen Titanium – a watch inspired by nature
The Norwegian watch brand Straum pays tribute to the forces of nature with the Jan Mayen Titanium Glacier White – a timepiece where Scandinavian design meets extreme craftsmanship.
In just a few years, Straum has established itself as one of the most exciting names in modern Scandinavian watchmaking. With the Jan Mayen Titanium, the brand continues its philosophy of capturing the aesthetics of nature through materials and forms that radiate precision and authenticity.
The name Jan Mayen refers to the remote Arctic island between Norway and Greenland – a place shaped by volcanic activity, ice, and wind. These very elements inspired the watch’s Glacier White dial, whose rugged surface reflects the fractured ice structures of the Beerenberg volcano’s glaciers. Under changing light, the dial reveals subtle vertical lines that evoke the sensation of snow and wind sweeping across a frozen landscape.

Premium materials – built to endure
The case is crafted from Grade 5 titanium, a lightweight yet exceptionally strong alloy that ensures both low weight and high scratch resistance. The brushed surface gives the watch an industrial and minimalist character, accentuating the sharp edges of the case.
It comes fitted with an FKM rubber strap, precision-moulded for optimal comfort and airflow. The strap follows the wrist’s natural curve and attaches via Straum’s unique Coupling system – a push-button quick-release mechanism in titanium that allows effortless strap changes without tools. The buckle, also machined from Grade 5 titanium, completes the technical integrity of the design.
A sapphire crystal ensures clarity in all lighting conditions, while the watch’s robust construction and water resistance make it suitable for both everyday wear and outdoor adventures.

Where nature meets technology
The Straum Jan Mayen Titanium Glacier White represents the best of modern Nordic watch design – honest materials, technical precision, and inspiration drawn from the raw beauty of nature. Every detail, from the sculpted dial to the engineering of the coupling system, reflects true craftsmanship.
The model is available with a titanium or stainless steel case and a black FKM rubber strap. Priced at USD 1,930, delivery is expected in February 2026.
With the Jan Mayen Glacier White, Straum has not just created a watch – but an Arctic moment captured in metal and glass.
