Baltic launches Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or – limited to 200 pieces
Baltic celebrates sailing with the new Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or, a limited-edition chronograph inspired by offshore racing, produced in only 200 numbered pieces priced at around DKK 16,300.
Baltic has unveiled the Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or Limited Edition to mark its role as Official Timekeeper of the Transat Café L’Or regatta. The watch combines nautical functionality with refined design and will be produced in just 200 numbered units.
The 39.5 mm case features a custom-designed bezel graduated in knots over one-tenth of a nautical mile – allowing skippers to calculate a boat’s average speed. With 100 metres of water resistance and screw-down pushers, the watch is built for active use at sea.
The metallic champagne dial contrasts beautifully with its subdials and bright orange hands for enhanced legibility during racing. The distinctive blue-green “Big Eye” sub-counter functions as a 15-minute countdown timer, helping sailors track the start of a regatta.
Swiss movement and solid construction
Inside, the watch is powered by the Swiss hand-wound Sellita SW511 BH calibre with a 63-hour power reserve. The movement is known for its precision and reliability, making it suitable for both competition and everyday wear.
The Baltic Scalegraph Transat Café L’Or is available on a stainless-steel bracelet or a white calfskin strap. Priced around DKK 16,300, the model will not be reproduced once the 200 pieces are sold.
Baltic supports the next generation of sailors
As part of the launch, Baltic is supporting a sailing team led by skipper Lomano Takasi, competing under the brand’s colours in the Route du Café from Le Havre. The watch therefore represents more than a new release – it symbolises the close link between fine watchmaking and the world of sailing.
