At this year’s AFI Fest in Los Angeles, Crowe appeared on the red carpet alongside Rami Malek, catching the attention of watch enthusiasts. Rolex Daytona “Le Mans” – a collector’s piece with racing heritage
The Rolex Daytona “Le Mans” Edition is one of the brand’s most exclusive modern releases. It features a black ceramic tachymeter bezel, a white dial with contrasting black subdials, and the classic 40 mm Daytona proportions.
Inside beats Rolex’s in-house calibre 4131, an automatic chronograph movement with a 72-hour power reserve and 100 metres of water resistance. The caseback features the engraving “24 Le Mans” – a tribute to the iconic 24-hour race that makes the model even more desirable among collectors.
The price is estimated at around DKK 1.9 million, and the model has already become difficult to find on the secondary market.
Rolex and Panerai among his favourites
Russell Crowe is one of the few Hollywood stars who openly expresses his love for watches. He has been seen wearing Panerai Luminor and Radiomir – models that match his bold, masculine style and fascination with mechanical craftsmanship.
His collection also includes several classic Rolex pieces such as the Submariner and GMT-Master II. According to international watch media, Crowe has sold parts of his earlier collection at auction but kept the watches that hold personal significance.
Among his newer favourites is the Rolex 1908 in platinum, launched in 2024. It features a light blue guilloché dial and a brown leather strap – a more elegant choice that shows Crowe’s versatile taste.
